Iranian magician Mahdi Moudini will make buildings in Ho Chi Minh City, including the Bitexco in District 1, disappear this April.
Tony Hassini, a famous magician and one of the mentors of David Copperfield and Mahdi Moudini, told the media on Monday that this young illusionist, who started to study magic at the age of five and has worked for 28 years as a magician, will perform many interesting feats, such as making buildings disappear in a wink, walking on water, and escaping from a huge basin of water.
All of these performances will be filmed in late April in HCMC for the first Vietnamese television program about magic, 13 episodes of which will be hosted by Mahdi Moudini and will be broadcast in September.
According to the producer, more than 70 percent of the scenes will be recorded in HCMC, while the rest will occur in other well-known destinations in order to promote the country’s tourism.
At the press conference, Tony Hassini also shared, “This is my fifth time visiting Vietnam. I know about 20 magicians of Vietnamese ancestry living around the world.”
